I would say that we are grateful to David Whatmore for his efforts to improve the standard of Cricket in Bangladesh.

However, I found him to be over ambitious at times which is at the verge of 'lacking in commitment' to Bangladesh. He has indicated to be glad for becoming coach of India in recent days when he is already with the Bangladeshi Cricket squad in ICC WC-2007. This is the second time he has shown his desire and inclination for India publicly.

He could have delayed this announcement till the WC matches are over, or till the Bangladeshi team gets out of Super-8 round. It is similar to disloyalty shown by any guardian towards his wards.

Therefore, at this point of time if Mr. Dave leaves Bangladesh then I personally think that it would be good for the players as they can then get the chance to have a new face that would not be looking for the greener grass on the other field. The commitment of the coach permeates down to the each and every player's motivation to give their own 100% to the team.

Good Luck Dave, if you are content with Bangladesh and it would be interesting to see him groom Indian players after their shock-defeat at the hands of novice Bangladeshi players!
