AS an Englishman, i am amazed at the poor image the USAers have. When i got back from the football last night, i nearly spilt my beer when i read that 79% of USAers didnt realise they were the most hated nation,
I mate of mine who is in jail for rioting at football, went to America recently and said that most USAers are not aware of their poor image and they drink weak beer

May I ask you about the image of some British schools that have remove the Holocaust from their history curriculum?

Fifth time I've asked...you have no response?

America is a continent that has been populated by a wide and very varied range of people from other nations, so in slagging them off remember you are probably slagging off your own !!.

It has become a very strong nation, when help is needed they are there, because they are, like it or not, a superpower.

Would we have won the second world war without their intervention - maybe not, and if that was the case where would you all be now.

Why does everyone have to dislike the Americans ?. They can be rude, rash and obnoxious, but then again all nations have people like that.

If I recall correctly, the English hate the Irish as well (but we built your roads and towerblocks), labelling us as drunks and hellraisers, damn right, Yea, but we got our land back though, didn't we !!!.

Look in the mirror before you cast aspersions upon others.

From an American -

We don't give a rat's *** what image the rest of the world has of us. We pulled Englands' rear end out of the fire twice, and whenever there is a natural calamity anywhere in the world, who do they look to to provide aid? The U.N.? NO France? NO Japan? NO, the good ol' US of A. So don't give me this shiznit about our image.
Also, your own P.M. said that you can tell a lot about a country by how many people want to get in as opposed to how many want to leave.

i live in the USA and I have never hated another country. I've been ticked at Mexico and France and especially the Middle East but I know that it's just bickering between rulers! I didnt choose to be raised under a few bad presidents! But we have definately had amazing rulers! We have a great political system (if only the right people to run it!) and i do NOT come on here to read trash written directly to the people of the US. We didn't want bad things to happen or to be "hated" but screw your head on tighter, we deserve to be here like everyone else, i dont come on here saying mean things about you.

americans know they are hated, but they all think it is "envy". That's the problem. They are only reinforcing their weaknesses. Greed, ignorance, manipulation, international terrorism, deception, propaganda, propaganda, propaganda.
If they knew why everyone REALLY hated them, it might give them a chance to do something about it. But they have fallen for the lies.
I too have big screen tvs, a home of my own, a good job, but I also have free education, free health care, social security, a govt that gives its fair share in GDP to developing countries, we don't have gang violence, a massive murder rate, an army in perpetual war, a hideously unhealthy popuation, a grossly mistreated underclass....
I am not envious. Hundreds of millions of us aren't.
But we still don't like America.
Get over your "we kicked your ***" and "see how they like it when we stop giving them so much" mentality and open your eyes.

Yes, we ARE the most envied nation on this earth. We help other nations when they are in need, we take in immigrants from other countries (legally only please) and give them full chance to enjoy all the benefits of living in this wonderful country. I was in England last year and every pub I went to, the English were drinking MILLER GENUINE DRAFT. We on the other hand enjoyed Guinness. Gotta give it to the IRISH, unlike the Brits, they know how to brew a good beer. Get over it, We are the Best country in the world.

I actually have no doubt that our image is not good. The real question is "why?" Envy is part of it. Our govt.insistence in getting in the rest of the worlds business willy-nilly is part of it. The lack of knowledge about the world outside their own sphere is part of it. In the end, does it really matter? You may consider this normal American arrogance but I believe the world needs the U.S. more than the other way around.

I know we are hated, but I don't care, I have everything I want in this country. A house, two great cars, four big screen televisions, a great relationship, a good inheritance coming some day. Screw the rest of the world that doesn't like us. I got mine, and the USA is the reason I have it. The rest of the world hates our succes because they can't get their acts together... not my problem.

I have GREAT love and respect for our British friends, but you sir are all wet. Why should we care if the world hates us or loves us. Everyone wants to come here and enjoy our freedom and standard of life. If you want to judge us by our beer go ahead, I believe we stand up for people in trouble and we want to promote capitalism. Capitalism and hard work are responsible for standard of living. Being a "fotball" hooligan and spitting in your beer, now thats an image to be proud of. God Bless America and England too.

No offence man but nobody likes England either.
I dont know if you knew that.
a thousand years of greed and treachery is going to put you on most peoples bad list.
And you were as much a part of iraq as they were.

And everybody bashes America, but most other countries are twice as corrupt as America only without as much power. It is a childish jelousy for the most part.

Half the people on this post have no idea why they hate America other than their friends do.

Many Americans are very educated.
