Voting for your own best answer is not a violation.
Having multiple accounts to vote your own answer is a violation of the Community Guidelines Rule # 11.

I dont think its a violation to vote for yourself. You're only supposed to have one account though. I dont know why these people set up more than one account anyway. You can vote for yourself anyway, without switching.

It should be a violation to use more than one account.
But it's a pretty tedious method of gaining points. It would be more efficient to answer your own question and pick the answer as best.
On voting, you don't need to mark your answers. To vote for your own, pick the one that you can't report as abuse.

I'm just surprised that people care that much. Yes, I do believe it's a violation, if you are using multiple accounts to vote for yourself.

I cant believe that people would go on this level for some points.
its not a contest of " who gets the best answers" . its not like you will win a prize so i think that chick is wasting her own time.

Certainly it is neither right nor fair to other users.
But how would you know this person has more than one account?
Questions in voting are in the open community for any number of people to vote on.
Many people use little signatures to identify their own answers - this is not violating any Yahoo rules.
The very fact that you have posted this question twice in different categories (against the rules in itself) smacks of sour grapes.
I don't think your posting this question is a fair thing to do.
And it certainly does not shed a good light on yourself either.
It would appear to me you are a fake id out to harrass this other person.
And before anyone else thumbs downs me please check on the profile of this poster!
