... obviously how would you be aware of something if it is hidden, but there are things that make me realise that there is something like this, that might also be in you. For example, there are things that I do only to realise later on that it was a mistake most confidently made. Now, why is that? Why do I do something like that at the first place? And more importantly where that urge and confidence came form? Then I, at times, am hypocritical without me knowing that I am; or when I do not see the folly of my own behaviour but others do, and when I see it myself I feel that I have been foolish indeed just imagining myself to be clever.

We learn by making mistakes. If you begin to look for the signals that show you a similar situation is occuring to one you have encountered before, you can focus and use the learned information from the previous mistaken action/speech/thought to make a more informed or intelligent/insightful choice the second or third time around. It takes focus and attention to do this, and it is easy to slip and let yourself fall into a pattern. It is human nature; the hidden mind is usually an obvious sign that is allowed to pass unnoticed because the attention is distracted. One might even apply Poe's concept of the "Purloined Letter" to this phenomenon. The hidden mind is in plain sight!

Hmmm, I know what you mean about doing something that you believe will be a good thing and then a few weeks later the idea in question seems disastrous. Don't be too hard on yourself. It is through making mistakes that human beings become better people. We all have our shortcomings...I would try to think before making instinctive decisions.

Marry in haste, repent at leisure. Or something like that.

i am a firm believer in your "hidden mind". i think everyone is psychic in some way or another some are just stronger than others. you really could control your own actions by thinking every little thing out before you do it or say it...but then where is the fun in that...being spontaneous on a lot of things is what makes us human but if you can recognize the urges you have and put them to use in everyday situations it means that your are learning to tune in to you surroundings and the people around you. good luck and stay sharp=)

Most people say and/or do things in their life which, with hindsight, they wished they hadn't done/said.
If you can't cope with this, then I suggest a career in politics, preferably as a world leader. That way you can wait until you're in your 80s. Your autobiography should include your mistakes (that's forgivable because you're an octogenarian), but you can also take the opportunity to criticise the present day politicians for not having learnt from history.

Hi, I don't think you are any different from the rest of us. First of all, the old adage that the onlooker sees most of the game is very true. It is so easy to know what somebody else should do or recognise other people's mistakes without being able to apply that insight to ourselves. It is the curse of humanity that we do and say things that later we regret, sometimes bitterly. You just have to plod on and, hopefully, learn from your mistakes. Perhaps wisdom will come with age!

As long as you are doing the best you can do for yourself and others at the time you are doing it, you should not be so hard on yourself. All of us make mistakes and wrong decisions. Learn from the mistakes, and try to do better next time. Punishing yourself over the past gets you nowhere in life.
Best wishes

It is hard for one to see thier own flaws unless the are conciously looking for them. How many of us do that, (I do! )?
I am extremely self-deprecating which forces me to always see my flaws instead of my stregnths, however, not many people do that and from what you have stated you don't. So that's probably why you can be hypocritical at times and not realize it unless others point it out. Also, your hidden mind is better known as your sub-concious.

wow
interesting... You're right...
I guess Key is, in this case, perception.
Perception is perspective.
It depends where You're standing in relationship to the angle of a second object in space, that determines what You're looking at.
Then, if You don't see something, that is not hidden, You're just not looking on the correct side.
Try jumping to the other side.
Pull your socks off an look at them inside out...
Is the furry part hidden, just cuz You wear them the way You do?

Good Luck! Bear hugs! ;-)

Sounds like to me you are young. Things such as self-doubt about your actions and the fact that your clear view is only in hindsight, leads me to believe you are not totally weighing all the possible results of your actions before execution.
Slow down, take a deep breath.
THINK about what your actions will cause before you act,
maybe there will be less regret down the line.
