Always safe if your are healthy and due to the age (50) it would be a good idea to have a good trainer to supervise your exercise.

I'm 53 and have been using weights on and off since I was 14. Doing a 3 time weekly routine now without any problem.

weight training is suitable at any age , and also can start Ur training even if u are 50 yrs , only the intrest matter ,ur intrest to go for fitness at the middle age is highly appreciable , with proper guidance from ur doc and trainer considering ur age with suitable work outs .,all the best .

Yes,yes,yes.The health benefits are too many to list here,just check with your doc,the same as anyone,regardless of age,should do.You will start to feel better in no time..I was going to say good luck but,you wont need it.

It is not only safe but beneficial. First get your doctor's approval. It would also be good to mix it up with aerobic exercise to strengthen your cardiovascular system

Why?? can cause to much stress on the old joints well any joints of any age why risk it go shop on-line and get you a good rocking chair and maybe a new TV while your shopping....
