When some people are eager to show their superiority,
hoaxes are bound to happen - whether it is the field of

Indians since millenia know that Yogis of Himalayas
have many extra-ordinary powers:

Numerous incidents of levitation have been recorded in Christianity and Islam. Among the first was Simon Magus in the first century. Other incidents reported among the Roman Catholic saints include the incident of Joseph of Cupertino (1603-1663), the most famous, who is said to have often levitated through the air. It is reported he often gave a little shriek just before levitating, and on one occasion levitated for as long as two hours.

Incidents also have been reported in the religions of Hinduism and Buddhism. Milarepa, the great thirteenth century yogi of Tibet, is said to have possessed many occult powers such as the ability to walk, rest and sleep during levitating. Such feats were said to be duplicated by the Brahmins and fakirs of India. Similar abilities were reportedly shared by the Ninja of Japan.

Throughout history there have been many anecdotal accounts of people levitating. Many religions have their traditional stories of levitation. Milarepa, the great thirteenth century yogi of Tibet, is said to have had the ability to levitate. The Ninja of Japan also reportedly were able to levitate. Some of the best records of levitations are among Christian documents which indicate that over 200 Catholic Saints have been credited with levitating.

Modern thought dictates that mechanization is the only method of accomplishing the ‘advanced’ engineering skills required to achieve things such as flight and levitation.
Research in the twentieth century by scientists and inventors such as Tom Danley, Edward Leedskalnin and Viktor Schauberger have made people question if the laws of physics and the forces of nature can be employed to achieve these things without the need for mechanisation. If their research is borne out, then it is quite possible that many ancient civilizations possessed a unique scientific knowledge, a natural science that has been all but lost through time, but that we may be on the verge of rediscovering.

Daniel Dunglas Home may not be as familiar a name to us today as Harry Houdini, but perhaps he should be. Either he was one of the greatest psychics of the 19th Century, able to demonstrate remarkable (some say paranormal) feats, or he was one of the greatest magicians. At séances he could make heavy tables and chairs (often with people sitting in them) levitate. Under close observation he could place his hands and face into red-hot coals without harm. He could make himself grow and stretch up to 12 inches taller.

In his most famous demonstration, he is said to have floated out of a window of a four-story building and then appear outside an adjacent window, which he then climbed in, to the astonishment of his audience. Unlike many mediums of his day, Home welcomed scrutiny by scientists and skeptics. None were ever able to prove his feats were tricks or to explain how he accomplished them.

Tibetan Secrets of Levitation:
In his book The Bridge to Infinity, Bruce Cathie recounts an amazing story that he says originated in a German magazine. It tells the story of astonishing feats of levitation accomplished by priests in a monastery high in the Tibetan Himalayas.

On the Verge of Antigravity:
Tim Ventura, among other "fringe" researchers, is experimenting with a fascinating propulsion energy that can make lightweight vehicles called "Lifters" float in the air. Exactly how it does this is largely unknown. (You can see video clips of Lifters in action at Tim's American Antigravity website.)

This is all hazy in my mind, after years of not seeing the Doco.. It was, a believe it or not Doco, narrated by Leonard Nimoy..Title was the "Florida Castle", do some research into this and the answer to you question, I think will be apparent.. Billy Idol, the English singer, wrote and sang a song about the man and what he did... It's called ---- Sweet 16--- He had to move his Castle, and he did, with one truck, including one driver who was never allowed to see how the load was put on the truck, nor how it was taken off and put miraculously back in place.. This happened in the 1930's I'm sure... Check it out, you will believe in levitation, as there is no other explanation..Plus he was an Alien in my opinion... Love and Light.. )O(

There's been many recorded instances of levitation throughout history so it's not a hoax.

I truly believe you can. My mom has always told me the story about when she went camping around the age of 12. She said that the neighboring campers asked her if she would like to join them in a levitation. She said that they sat a folding chair in the center of a circle of people. Everyone lightly touched the bottom of the chair (with someone sitting in it of course) with two figures and chanted something over and over (she doesn't remember what they chanted). The chair then levitated off the ground about 4 feet or so. They all took turns sitting in the chair annd being levitated...
I believe my mom... she would never lie to me.

Some levitate through power that is not their own. The Holy Spirit, or an evil spirit. Depending on the nature of the individual.
The pyramids were built by levitating the stones with sound. I met two men in the present, who swear they brought some granite slabs to a man, who told them to take a break and he would unload them.
They laughed, but peeked to see while drinking their coffee. And swore to me the man put his hands on the slabs, and started humming, and raised them off the truck!
There is also something known as the Gait of Power.
Carlos Casteneda said one can learn to run at "night", and move very quickly, without stumbling. And a man once witnessed a monk in China walking at a very fast pace, but seemed to be floating just a little "above" the actual ground!
BELIEVE IT, OR NOT!

definately some people can really levitate. their is a lot of tricks and hoaxes, but some really have the mind power to accomplish this. it takes a lot of training in the martial arts field with the right master to get you to that level, i'm talking a lot of years. could possibly be other ways that i don't know of, but it can definately be done.

Which theories? All I have seen are tricks performed by stage artists. These provide great entertainment value, but I am not aware of any science that is involved.

Personally I think this is the biggest trick in the world. But then again, how do you explain the monk's in Himalaya that are supposed to be able to do this through yoga?
I have never seen them doing tit, so it's hard to believe that they can....
