Well, that actually depends.. in some cases it's the quality that matters, and in some, it's the quantity.
I guess you can say that for basic needs, the quality would matter more because you have to live with it and constantly use it. That's for objects by the way, but I guess even matters like love and relationships etc would fall under this.
As for desires, I guess we all get blinded by our wants.. so then perhaps the quantity? But personally, I would be more careful and try to distinguish between what I WANT and what I NEED. (First lesson of economics. ;) )

Although I love clothes & sex and would love to have a huge quantity, what good would it be if it wasn't of good quality! I'd Rather have something great then alot of things that aren't so great.
