Since cricket is a game of uncertainties as has been proved on number of occasions, nothing can be predicted for sure about the outcome of a tournament in advance.
As it stands now Australia, South Africa, New Zeland and Sri Lanka are the main contenders for the world cup. Whichever team plays better cricket consistently from now onwards will be the ultimate winners.

Sri Lanka. I agree with Nalaka. In 1996 everybody thought Australia will win the world cup. Only Sri Lanka has a team that can beat the Australians in the finals.

Unfortunately Australia have the goods. I'm with Jessica, I want England to win (no-one needs to know I'm an Aussie myself). Fell in love with the England Team when they were getting their arses whipped in Australia. And what nice arses too (e.g. Colly, Freddie and Spud)
