Life is short. That is a fact of life. It is impossible to understand this simple fact as a teenager, however. As a teenager you look at senior citizens and you know you will never look like that. You look at people like your parents—people in their 30s and 40s—and you cannot imagine ever being that old. The thought of looking just two years down the road is probably difficult.

Because as you get older, especially if you have children, and grandchildren, and you see them getting older, you realize how fast time has already gone by and how little time you have left and how much there is left that you want to do before it is too late.
Especially, if your health has gotten worse, and you look at your children, grandchildren or even your other loved ones, you hope that you will have time left to be around them longer and see how their own lives turn out.
Life is relatively short compared to everything else. I look at photos of my deceased grandparents and realize that it doesn't seem all that long ago that we were eating meals and having reunions with them and now they have passed on.
Now they are memories, only. Soon our parents will also be memories. Then my our generation will be the ones who will be memories to our children and so on, on so on.
Like I said, life is very short.

Because we have so much to accomplish and are always running against time and in the bargain we forget to enjoy life's little pleasures. That's when you feel your lifetime is not enough to make the most of it on earth.

The time is set for every one. No one can stop it. With the available time in hand, do as much good you can. Life may be lost but the name remains.

Because maybe it is. Not every1 appreciates life fully & they don't take advantage of what they have. & due to so many disasters & diseases, not every1 is living life to its fullest anymore.
