hey, i dont know anything about football but i have a quick question...because Manchester United lost 2-1 in Rome and have an away goal does that mean that if they draw 0-0 at Old trafford they will go through to the next round?

No it is total goals first so they need to either:

Win by 2 no mater the score.
Win 1-0.

If they win 2-1 they will need to have extra time to decided it.

If they win by 1 but give up more than one goal (ex. 3-2) then Roma will go through.

if the return match ended in a draw, AS Roma will progress as they have a 2-1 advantage from the 1st leg. Manchester United have to win at least 1-0 or win by two clear goals to progress to the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions' League.

No, an away goal only counts as two goals if the score is tied overall so if manu win 1-0 next game the overall score will be 2-2 but manu have an away goal so it counts as two so they win 3-2

No, they can't.

Away goals will count 2 goals, only when two teams had drown
in goals in home + away matches.
