my speakers for the pc broke!not sure if its the adapter or the speakers!what should i do!could i use a different adapter?

Try a USB Headset and Microphone, like the ones from Logitech. Awesome!!! Great for Skype, too.

You can use a stereo headphone or your mini compo that come with a input source? or your home theatre?
You can try using another adaptor if only the voltage / polarity ( +/- ) is correct? and off cause the plug/jack size?

Do what I do. I use my headsets instead. You'll be saving money instead of having to buy new speakers.

headphones can be plugged straight in the speaker slot..

Try plugging in headphones if you have them. See if that works.
