I live in the UK and loved the animated version shown in the 90s, was the live action series as good?

Oh dear God no! The animated series was excellent, original and funny. The live-action series was just a mistake.

I have to agree with Shane (above). The cartoon was so much more original, and being a cartoon, they could do alot more and not have to worry about budget. The live-action series was dumbed down for ratings so that more people would watch it, but it ended up just being people in costumes who were a pale reflection of the characters who inspired them.

Another vote for NO! The charm that the cartoon had was lost in the live action version. It was just plain weird.

The TV show was dreadful, even with Patrick Warburton (Seinfeld's Puddy) as the lead character.
