On the motherboard of your computer there is a battery, usually a large round watch battery type. That battery is dead and needs to be changed. It keeps some computer functions, like the computers internal clock, operating when electrical power to the computer is turned off.

nothng to bre alarmed at your battery has run out im affraid
you have to open the side of computer tower (left side looking at it)
there you will see near the bottom of the motherboard

a lithium battery (round in size about 40mm in dia)

all you do is flick it out
take it to a computer store and ask for the same type

The CMOS battery available in the Motherboard of the CPU needs to be replaced, it seems. This will solve the problem , hopefully !

When you double cllick the digital clock, (in the lower right corner of the desktop,)
Select the "Internet Time" tab.
Make sure it is set to pick up the correct time automatically. THen every day it will check for the time, and set your clock.

there is a battery that runs the clock when comp is off,probably needs to be changed
