I heard that if we keep wearing bras (all the time), it may be harmful or cancerous to our bodies, is that true???

There are no scientifically valid studies that show a correlation between wearing bras of any type and the occurrence of breast cancer. Two anthropologists made this association in a book called Dressed to Kill. Their study was not conducted according to standard principles of epidemiological research and did not take into consideration other variables, including known risk factors for breast cancer. There is no other, credible research to validate this claim in any way.

well from what I researched
A study reported that wearing a bra for 12 hours or so a day increases not only the risk of breast cancer, but also of other diseases such as cystic breasts, breast pain, breast tenderness and tight-bra syndrome. With the numbers that the study has reported, wearing bras for 18 hours or more a day can increase the risk of breast cancer by over 50 times of going without one, and about 3 times that of smoking. As such, it's somewhat of a shock to many people and companies who argued that bras help maintain good posture and reduce pain in back and shoulders.
I don't think they know for sure though. If you don't wear a bra though when you get older your breast will sag
I wouldn't worry about it scientist are always coming up with things that in the future they find out they were wrong

No it's not true. My mom wears a bra all the time including for sleeping (but for this one she has a bra that is especially designed just for sleeping).

If you still aren't sure it's a good idea to go ahead and double check with your dr to see what they say.

Humm it is an exciting question. i assume the main reason human beings placed on bras is for help (in case you have enormous breasts you have a tendency to choose slightly extra help--they could reason back soreness and tension). yet one extra reason to placed on bras is for style. some ladies placed on bras so their nipples won't show through their shirt (as all of us understand). mutually as different females ditch the bra and choose the '60s bra-much less/organic look. It relies upon on your guy or woman very own selection as to climate or no longer you desire to placed on a bra or no longer. maximum folk placed on bras because of the fact it incredibly is considered to be the "general" element to do.

Where is this poor piece of information coming from??

Let's get it strainght once and for all: wearing a bra does not cause breast cancer. if so then 51% of the population beyond puberty would be dead/dying or getting chemo.

It is only harmful if you wear the same bra like everyday and don't wash it. That can lead to breast cancer. Only if you wear it for like a week or longer.

Only problems may be by increased body heat around the area, but dont think that would be a major concern!

From what I've heard, you aren't SUPPOSED to wear one constantly. I don't care; I do it anyway. This link was fairly entertaining. Normal people on a forum talking about what you want to know.
