No you don't need a Visa to go to the USA my friend if you are an Australian citizen, only a passport. This also applies to other countries such as New Zealand, and various European countries.

I would say so seing as every other country in the world has to... I know British citizens get a stapled thing on their passport when you enter that allows you to stay for up to 3 months, but you can't work with that. If you wanna work and live over there, you ened a green card which you have to apply for in advance. Im guessing its the same for australians

Yes. And as of 01/07 you need a passport to go in and out of Mexico, Canada, all the Bahamas.
