I have a plot in my garden that is exactly 29 feet long by 2 1/2 feet wide. This is 72 1/2 square feet.

I want to cover it with gravel. The shop sells packets of gravel by the cubic metre.

How many cubic metres will I have to buy? I think 2 would be enough...please confirm.

One packet will cover your garden to a depth of nearly 6 inches. Two packets would cover it to about 11 3/4 inches.

Not enough information!! "Cover my garden" tells what you want to do, but now how much. How deep do you want the gravel layer to be? If you specify that, then the problem can be solved.
