Sri Lanka has a very good chance of winning the world cup because of their adaptability and adjustment to playing conditions.Even though the batting failed they managed to beat England by 2 runs. They almost succeeded in defeating South Africa. It is true that Australia and New Zealand have very strong teams but if their performance suffers they do not have the skill to hit back like Sri Lanka. This is what is important. All sides have good players who sometimes play well and sometimes fail. It is the team moral and how they play as a team that counts.In this respect nobody can match Sri Lanka.Besides, it is clearly seen from the manner in which they play that the team spirit is very high and they do not play a selfish and individual game like other sides.There is plenty of discussion going out in the centre and even the Captain consults everybody and produces results which is quite astonishing compared to most of the other sides.

Since cricket is a game of uncertainties as has been proved on many occasions, nothing can be predicted for sure about the outcome of a tournament in advance.
While Sri Lanka stand a chance to win the world cup if they continue to play at the same level they have been playing one or two bad performance will eliminate their chance to win the world cup.

No one can rule out the chances of Srilanka they have calibre of upset, but under normal circumstances it got to be NewZealand, Australia or SouthAfrica.
The best team is undoubtedly Australia and SA is second to it and NewZealand is in best nick so put your money on NZ.

it is amazing!!!, Pakistan had it ordinary and could have cruised through, with 8 wkts in hand, yet now Srilanka has reversed this show, all odds favoring Srilanka with basically 3 wkts left.

No.Look at how close they went with the Poms,a weak side by any standards.They lost to South Africa too.Granted that the loss does not matter once the team will reach the semis,but it in any case shows its relative strength.
