Alot of problems seem to stem from the fact that Israel doesn't have a whole lot of real estate.

I envision a Greater Zion where the Israelis have as much land as the other nations of the region.

...this land dispute was settled "thousands" of years ago... God gave "the Land" to Israel... you can read about the Land Deal in The Book... so no matter who comes against Israel, they, in Spirit, will be coming against God ! (why do you think Israel has won every war that they have fought...tiny, little outnumbered Israel... why...? It's in The Book !!!!)...the problem is the Goliath wanna-be's still don't believe it...and little David still is "out there" waiting with a fresh hand full of stones)........fools

no, the problems arise because Israel has real estate in the first place.

Israel was essentially created by america. It's military is armed and trained by america.

Israel is a thorn in the side of every nation surrounding it and any talk of expanding it's borders would not and should not be tolerated.

A greater zion like your talking about would never happen except at the cost of blood.

there would be no peace in the region until either israel or every surrounding muslim country was totally wiped out.

It's at times like these that I like to put on my thinking cap and ask myself the magical question: What Would Che Do?

Here's what Che would do. He would say, "Comrade, just as you envision a Greater Zion where the Israelis have as much land as the other nations of the region, I envision a lesser Palestine where the people are reduced to nothing, and since they have nothing, their lives are worth nothing, and since their lives are worth nothing, they freely throw them away in terrorist acts to protest the bleakness of their lives. I envision an enraged Hezbollah that buys or borrows every weapon in the candy shop, and mercilessly blasts the Israelis to Kingdom Come. I envision a circle of angry Arab nations that come together to destroy Israel, and actually succeed because they finally have the backing of the Western world, which screams in rage, 'You have enough territory, you greedy land grabbers, you have to learn to share if you ever want to live in peace.' I envision an Israel constantly under siege, an Israel that can no longer protect itself because the US stops supporting it, and finally, an Israel that is reduced to tatters and only lives on in the memories of some old Jewish people in New York, who say, 'Next year in Jerusalem,' but know it's only a dream."

But what do I know? I am just some silly American woman.

Maybe Israel ought to do the same thing that UAE has been doing of late: extend the land itself out into what is currently a body of water. Israel can add more "land" by building that land in the Mediterranean Sea.

Even asking blatantly inflammatory questions like this have global repercussions. Maybe you should think of a questions possible international or global effects a few times before you type it. Do you really have to wonder why so many people all over the world hate us? Israel going around annexing Arab lands all around it's borders would have to be done with it's military leading to a massive retaliatory war possibly World War III. It's a violent enough world. This is quite possibly the worst idea I've ever heard.

Israel will hold to what they now have, but will provide for Palestine to become an independent state, if they first agree to recognize Israel's rights to exist. The Gaza Strip and West Bank are already essentially Palestinian territories.

Israel has extended its borders several times, and the West Bank settlements continue to grow.

Now you all know that there is no solution to the Middle East.
The powers to be have convinced all the little people that it is all about religion. And they sit back, stuff their pockets and have a good laugh. And you guys argue about the Abrahams and the gods and the moses and the Mohammeds and all the mythologies and kill one another. And they are still laughing at your nonsense.

From a population perspective, tiny Israel is big enough for its 6 million citizens.

But from a strategic point of view, YES.

Israel need not expand its territory because the Arabs will oppose it and might trigger another conflict in the Middle East.
