I get over emotional.
I don't know whether it is upbringing or environment.
All I do know is that my emotions tend to get the best of me.
That happens to a lot of people. Especially under the influence,
PMS or whatever the case.
I no longer believe in emotion and would like to hold firm to pure logic. It seems to eliminates a lot of problems.
Idle conversations cause a lot of problems.
I think that is where we are headed. It makes sense and it is it does seem logical.
Does anybody else find logic in my statement?
I suppose the only way to succeed in my endeavors is to retrain myself to disbar emotions. Be calm cool and collected.
It will take some work.

Emotion does not dictate Logic.
Logic, on the other hand, does dictate emotions.

Not Vulcan. Just not too emotional, like that of a drama queen.
I do understand the need for some emotion, just not a lot of emotion.

Your model of the way that emotions work may require some modification. It is not the awareness of the emotions that changes our mental balance. It is the expression of emotion which causes the feelings that you disdain.
What you need to do is change the manner of expressing your emotions. A drama queen over-expresses. Every little emotion becomes a major work of art.
It is both healthy and necessary to be aware and express our emotions. The key is to learn to honestly express them without the creation of overblown melodrama.
When a driver in the left-hand lane cut in front of you without looking, making a right-hand turn, a simple normal volume "Idiot" can express as mush as slamming on the brakes, jumping out of the car and yelling at the top of your lungs all manner of insults about the marriage status of the driver's mother and what kind of intimate relationship he might have had with her.
To accomplish this, you must first become more aware of your emotions as they present themselves. You must then learn to make a conscious choice as to how you will express these emotions. This will probably require a change in habitual behaviors, forming new habits.
The goal is not to be more Vulcan like, but more like the Deltans (Remember the bald headed navigator in the Veger episode?). You will then learn not to take advantage of an "emotionally immature species" (other humans).

All emotions, feelings, knowledge, skills and everything are spirits. Even thoughts are not your own. All spirits (good and bad) have the dominating character. They always compete with each other to dominate a person in a higher level. That's why one of your feelings or emotions is at it's peak for certain period and never goes so easily until it is replaced by another. First of all you must understand that it's not you and then you must think, write and talk disapproving it's possession and then you must divert your mind towards something else which can keep you in joy and peace. When you choose a thing you must think how far it can make changes in your mind. Some may give joy or happiness to your physique but not to your mind. You have to choose only what's useful to your mind.

You cna take your chosen path, but try this on for size:
Your emotions tell you how well your outer ego self is harmonizing with the deeper parts of your mind.
When you are happy, you are balanced. When you are experiencing negative emotion, there is imbalance between your deepest held beliefs and your current thoughts about a subject.
Use your emotions as a guidance system. Just like the nerves in your hands make you draw back your hand from a hot stove.
Start by taking small steps to find the next best thought. That means to choose your thoughts deliberately to be happy.
Practiced thoughts become beliefs, so practice good thoughts.

The best life is a balance between emotions and logic, and not one of the extremes. We are made for both, and each has its own strengths and weaknesses.
You don't want to be a drama queen on one hand, or a psychopath on the other!
Far better to be a mix of drama queen and psychopath.

Are you hoping to become Vulcan?? (like on Star Trek) It's in our nature to be influenced by emotions. Try to gain some degree of control over the stronger ones, but I doubt you'll have much luck eliminating them entirely.

You're not a robot, u cant rid urself of emotions. nd its not good to suppress ur emotions anyway. logic's fine if thats what u use as an excuse for ur emotions, in the end its just that..emotions.
i understand ur statement, and sure i guess it makes sense but i dont think its logical.
best of luck t you to your "endeavors", take cares.

It is like this.... you need to be congruent to who you are first... once you know yourself very well... then you can start with the logic thing... one thing you need to remember... emotions are natural... they are natural mechanisms...what you need to see is that the emotions you have are natural, but the thing you need to remember is the logic of Stimulus and Response. You have an emotion (fear, anger happiness, pity...) then you get a response from your body (hormones running wild, you face shows it, your body responds accordingly to your emotions....).
But, there is a gap in that Stimulus and Response and that is CHOICE... If someone points a gun at you... do you tremble, scream, cry, or smile... ;-) That gap is where your character lies... your character is who you are deep inside... It tells you how you respond. Just to give you an idea...
Change your thinking... you change your action...
Change your action... you change your habits...
Change your habits... you change your character...
Change your character... you change your life...
Hope you got the idea... And to see how big your potential is...
We think much less than what we know...
We know much less than what we love...
We love much less than what there is...
To this precise extent, we are much less than what we are...
So, you do what you need to do and do it now... action is thinking being applied...
I hope I helped... ;-)
