Don't specifically remember how to do it myself, but if you type: " transfer utube video to pc " in the search bar of Utube you'll find videos describing, step by step how to do it !! It's just a matter, then of saving them as favorites to replay them on a re sized smaller screen while you work on Your Computer to access the programs needed.
This amazing guy: http://www.youtube.com/user/FMAlchemist36
can transfer Youtube videos to an ipod, and in the process they *the videos* have to stay in your pc, wright? give it a try... let's see what happens !!! Good Luck: JT.

The easiest way is to go to http://youtubecollector.com

1. Copy and paste the YouTube video URL into the form on youtubecollector.com
2. Click "Get Download URL"
3. Right click the Download URL and select "Save As"
4. Name the file and give it a .flv extension i.e. brittneyspears.flv

Now you need something that will play FLV files. I believe the best one is VLC which you can get at: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

Now you can just drag your downloaded YouTube videos into VLC and they will play. Congratulations, you can now download YouTube videos!

If this worked for you, please consider choosing me for best answer. :)
