I have used a PC all my life and i have been checking out the Macs, i really like them now, is it true that they don't crash, get virus, stuff-up in any way? Is it worth buying one? The main uses for a computer for me is videos, music, internet, MSN, and studying. Do the Mac books have a X16 DVD drive or whatever the fastest is right now?

mac does not get spyware. mac is better with virus also.

when you say videos,, you mean just watching it right? then it should be fine. don;t worry about the dvd drive speed. it;s fast enough for now. if you watch movie it only spin at 4x.

if you want a computer that does not crash easily, mac is better choice then pc. you might need to go though a learning curve but other then that it is suitable for your need.

PLEASE ASK THEM ABOUT THE STUDENT DISCOUNT.

i used a PC all my life too.

i had NO CLUE how to use a mac when i first got it.

but it was so easy.

there are virtually no virus and i have never had any problems with it freezing up or crashing like in windows.

and if you decide after you buy a mac that you like windows better you can always install windows on a mac. [the newer intel macs only]

Yes, yes and yes.

If you compare what comes with a Mac to what you have to pay for after buying Windoze, they are great value for the money!!!

I bought a Mac Mini last October and now use it 90% of the time! Windows is just too much work.
