This really depends on the genre of music that you like, and where and what time you are travelling.

If you're driving through the city, classical or slow music might not be a good idea. Instead, fast and rock music might be good.

If you're driving through the countryside, some calm or country music might be better. Personally, for me, Green Day's Holiday song is brillant for a road trip. Other songs they have created can be considered too.

You should know your favourite genre of music and listen to the songs that are in that particular genre.
