Steph,
I wish I could expand on what you wrote, but I can't. Well said.
The Bible tells us.... "Be not like the world....."
You are exactly right.

And maybe if more people like you would focus on the real problems this country and world are facing instead of what other consenting adults do behind closed doors, maybe this world would be a better place.
What does your God have to say about that??

um, Steph? If anything, gay folk do not "conform" to the ways of the world! (Hetero couplings!) We accept ourselves as loving, both physically & emotionally, members of the same sex. For whatever reason, we are what we are...God has permited us to live on the same planet. If praying & reading the Bible & fasting would make LGBT people straight, I would have been straight a looooooong time ago! :D

Oh just shut up with that holier than thou bullshit. I can't stand the way people try to make homosexuality any more a sin than what you are doing by judging us. I just really pisses me off to hear the way you guys want to through selective parts of the Bible in our faces. What about the part that says "Vengeance is mine says the Lord" what about "Love thy neighbor" what about "Remove the plank in your eye before you tell you neighbor about his plank." what about all those parts that say you should lie cheat or steal? Covet lust or be gluttonous? I just wish you would consider the things that you do as well. You sin everyday! Stop worrying about my sin! Look at yourself and improve yourself because you won't have to answer for me on judgment day, you'll have to answer for yourself!

Why do you post your radical religious questions in the Queer section? I don't believe in god, but if I did, I would have as much right to proclaiming my love to and from a god of my understanding. Perhaps you are OK with a fire & brimstone kind of god -- a real wrathful being, Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God kind of thing, but don't be so presumptuous that your view of a higher being is any more relevant, enlightened or legitimate than any other person's.

Let's take this Christian-ally....
God created EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US, right? RIGHT. Now that will include EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US, straight or otherwise. Now, I don't think God would create some people gay just to cause so chaos. Some people are "born" gay. It's like in their system. Some realize they're gay. And all that shiz. But the point of the matter is...Gay people are people too, and religion was made by people...so why can't they believe in the same God too? That's Christian-wise.
IF God DOES love ALL of us (Christian-wise), he can't afford to be choosy, can he?

If you bother reading YOUR book, each and every person is supposedly created in His image, it does not make exceptions for particular "sins". All have fallen short of "the glory of God" and all are just as guilty of sinning as any other.
By passing judgment on others you are directly disobeying the words of him that you called Christ who told you, "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."
Being a PAGAN, I frankly don't care what that book says but it's quite obvious, I know more about it than you do. Those Gay and Lesbian people who call themselves Christian are every bit as much a Christian and just as welcome to the title as any other person who follows the belief system.

yes but when they come to Jesus they get hope and change=and rightfully call God their true father-Jesus says till we do "You are of your father the devil." the bible. Hope = YES THERE IS HOPE IN JESUS =EASTER RESURRECTION AND NEW LIFE
i PRAYED Jesus I am sorry for my sins, come into my heart and help me, be my friend, amen" now i live in the joy set free of salvation and promise of heaven forever too
Jesus promised "I love you, and knock on your heart door to come in deliver from sin and be your friend if you ask me in repenting of sin to be in fellowship with you and you with me." Revelation 3:19&20
Romans chapter 1 which is for all mankind =says by being unthankful, we worship the created rather than the creator and without salvation can be turned over to a reprobate mind to do what is wrong until we get salvation. Worked for me!
Ist Corinthians 6:9-13 "Homosexuals, fornicators and such WERE some of you, but you have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus."
if you stand by someone who is going against JESUS-you got the problem
being in hell for a day-that would change ones whole life-to come to salvation & pray more for those lost -not to go to gnashing teeth torment forever for rejecting the one that would love them forever=Revelation 19-22nd chapters Jesus describes the joy of salvation and heaven to come, and the agony of damnation.
SOME SAY THEY believe in Jesus...but they dont follow Him...no use..they just know Him by name...it's their choice coz for some reason and time they are happy with their PLEASURE FOR A SEASON IN SIN...God gave us the freedom anyway to choose from right and wrong

We all are children of God! Even if you do not agree with someone and they do things that you believe are aganist God, God still wants you to treat them with respect and care for them. Right or wrong everyone's judgement is coming and there is no need to judge anyone.

I've never heard a gay person call themselves that. But isn't EVERYONE supposed to be a "child of God"?

1. Get an education and learn to properly compose a sentence.
2. If you knew anything at all about the bible you would certainly be aware of "judge not lest ye be judged" so being that no sin is greater than another, you can ask those you judge when you see them in hell.
3. If your so f'n religious, why the hell aren't you in church right now?
