No! He was always a horses @$$. Very unfriendly toward the media and the fans. Very unpleasant personality. Always giving people a hard time. Mean to kids who seek his autograph. All in all a real dirt bag not to mention a racist pig.

Barry did not use steroids. Where's the proof? Everyone is bold to say so without even knowing the facts.

I met Barry numerous times, he is not a hothead, which is a definite symptom of steroid use, he is courteous and a gentleman. Even when he left his orthopaedic surgeon's office after getting his knee scoped, he was in great spirits, shook people's hands and signed autographs.

At my old place of employment, EA Sports, he dropped by to visit a relative who worked there and was never snobbish or stuck up. Always smiling and kind.

Some fans are just puppets of the media who brainwash them and fuel fires of hatred, which lead to name calling. People don't even know what the deal is with Greg Anderson and say that Barry had something to do with it. His not wanting to testify is his own choice and Barry did not twist his arm to do anything.

Get off his back, leave the Giants alone and you should only wish that one of your own superstars can hit so many HR's.

i can't say i ever liked his off the field personality. however i certainly think he's one of the best players to ever play the game. sadly, too many people are going along with the media and sacrificing him in the name of an entire era of players. prior to his steroid use he was an incredible hitter, after the steroids he's still a pretty damn good hitter (how many people 40+ do you know who can swing a bat like that?)

if anyone deserves an asterik next to their name in the record books it's guys like canseco, and mcguire (who relied on steroids far more than bonds)

records get broken, it's good for the sport. go back to a few years ago when mcguire and sosa were racing for the single season title. it brought alot of fans back to the game. nobody is going to forget what hank aaron did, just as nobody forgot what roger marris did.. the record has stood for far longer than bonds' record will (a-rod will probably break it, and that's within the next 10 years)

I never did like the guy to begin with. Barry Bonds has never enjoyed a big fan base (unlike McGwire, Jeter, Rodriguez, & other big hitters). He just rubs people the wrong way. When the steroid rumors started to surface, his "popularity numbers" dropped even more.

Absolutely. I used to love the guy for his great baseball ability, but now with his steroids, I have no respect for him and I don't want to support a cheater.

Bonds has been a jerk since he's been in pittsburgh. His steroid use only added to my dislike for him.

No. I have never liked him. I am so glad back in 93 the Braves signed Maddux over him.

Yes.. I used to love him. Now he is nothing but an astrick that can never be as good as anyone else

Somewhat. I always saw him as a self-centered, egotistical jerk, but respected his accomplishments. Now he's a cheat, so his "accomplishments" are meaningless. He's a self-centered, egotistical cheat.
