My RAM at the beginning was just 512 megs of that hynix crap. Then I put in a 512 meg samsung card that is PC3200 or 400mhz (cant remeber what PC3200 is) But in bios it says that is a 333mhz card with only one channel ? This is from an old Shuttle Zen (The samsung card) Is there a reason for this ? Is it because I have 3 cards in there ? cuz i heard that having only 3 will cause ur system to be unstable.

Usually, the motherboard will default to the slowest speed of RAM that is installed. Also, if you don't have identical sticks of RAM the board will not be able to run in dual channel mode. So you probably have at least one stick of PC2700 (DDR333) and different RAM types which is dropping you to 333 single channel operation. It shouldn't be unstable, but it isn't an optimal configuration for best performance.

RAM's have different specs. One major difference is ECC & Non-ECC. If you put an ECC with a non-ECC, chances are you'll have problems. There's also a reason why you have diffrerent PC speeds. PC100, PC133, PC1600, PC2100, PC2700 and PC3200 means different speeds. You should put one kind RAM in your system. Don't combine them.
