Yes i often give without taking, i know a lot of people including family and friends who won't give anything til they have gotten something first and i don't think it should be that way it makes me feel like i'm only getting something in return because that person feels like they owe me something not really because its something they want to do.

As much as I can. The secret is in the motivation. I don't do things for the rewards, but they are pleasant when they happen. I take away the knowlege I have done something I think is good.
But it's almost always in anonymous secrecy. I don't tell people what I've done. I just do it when I see there is something I can do.
It's a little like all the people who reach beyond themselves to share their wisdom and experience on these pages.
