Writer wanting to speak to firemen from the 1960s?

Hello,

I'm a writer currently researching a novel set in Devon in 1963 and the main character is a fireman.

I'm trying to track down any firemen who were active during that period to see if they'd be prepared to answer a few questions about what it was like.

Can anyone help at all, or knows someone who knows someone?
