Well, that's an interesting question but first we have to examine the accuracy of the question.

Women do commit crimes. However, they tend to commit non-violent/non-confrontational crimes. For instance. Men are more likely to rob a bank. Women are more likely to pass bad checks. Men are more likely to break in a home or business. Women are more likely to shoplift. Men are more likely to assalt a person. Women are more likely to vandalize that person's property. Men are more likely to violently murder someone. Women are more likely to poison someone. Etc.

So, because the crimes men commit are more likely to be the sort people are "locked up" for (because of the danger of confrontation), it appears men commit most of the crimes. Men also have the testosterone which plays a part with aggression. But women have hormonal fluctuations which can lead to unreasonable behavior as well. Women and men also "think" differently. Men seem to be more impulsive (which is beneficial in some circumstances). Women then to think about the consequences (all consequences) better. Which can paralyze her from making decisions but can also allow her to be more "level headed."

I'm not an expert or anything.... just my own outlook on it all.

Where did you read men have a higher tendency to commit crimes? You know, actually, just as many women commit crimes; it's just you only see what they show in the news/newspapers, which is particularly black men committing crimes. They don't show you the women who do, but that doesn't mean those women aren't out there.

Just like on the news and shows like COPS they mostly show drug dealers as black men. This is all apart of the stereotypes we have toward black men. It sucks, if you ask me, but that's the U.S. media for ya.

Genetically speaking, men are programmed to hunt and kill their prey. In most species, testosterone-like levels are higher in males, enabling them to build stronger muscles and become more aggressive.

In society, sometimes this can manifest as crime, in folks unable to handle their genetic pretenses as well as they should.

I think men tend to be more aggressive, but I don't think they're more prone to crime. I would say women steal but men rob.
