Heating bill (gas/oil)
Electric bill
Phone bill
Cable bill (if you want it)
Internet (if you want it, unless you use the phone line instead)
Rent or mortgage payment
Maintenance
Food

If you own the home, then it will also include:
Homeowner insurance
Property taxes

How much it cost each month depends on where you live. If you live along the coast or near a major city, cost of living increases. If you live in a less populated area, the cost of living is low because average income is low.

You will pay for everything that you want. Rent depends on what you can afford to pay and how you want to live and how much money you want left over. How much you pay for telephone/internet/cable/cellphones/food/electricity/gas/water/ depends on your lifestyle and what you can afford. Then there are the other essentials like clothes, entertainment, and on and on. Everything depends on the choices you make. It's best to have lots left over so that you can have a good time and save a bit. Best advice I can give you is stop worrying about moving out and go to college, get a great education so that you can have lots of good stuff when you finish. It will be worth your time plus you'll meet lots of people who are going places. The other advice is there is never enough money. . .

EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!! You have water, sewer, garbage, electric, gas... Those are basic utilities... Average cost will be in the neighborhood of $200-300 a month at least... Especially until you learn to buget. Then you have food. The average adult will eat about $200-400 a month in groceries. Then you have rent which, depending on the quality of the neighborhood, can be upwards of $1200 a month and maybe more. To put it simply, you need to be bringing in (after taxes) about $3000 a month to make it on your own. Good Luck to ya!
