The classic but sexy little black dress with a shrug or wrap, with bold accessories in gold, red, or silver with cute high heel shoes, just dress formal and elegant because the wedding is at night and in a country club. Just keep your outfit simple and chic.

If it is at night and at a country club, then it is probably dressy. You can wear a short or a long dress, but not a formal. The idea is to look as dressed up as you can without looking like you're in the wedding. Have you seen something in a magazine that you really like? Magazines can be really helpful. Also, you can ask in any store that you really like. Going to a wedding gives you a chance to wear something dressy, but probably not as dressy as something you would wear to a prom.

What is the style of the wedding? Formal? Long Dress/Dark Suit and Tie. Semi- formal? Dress (not nesseccarily full length)/blazer and neat trousers, tie optional. Neat Casual? Whatever within reason.
How can you tell? Ask the bridal couple, check on the invite (They often say the style required) or find out if it is a garden style wedding, followed by mixing and light snacks - Neat Casual, or a service followed by a sit down meal - formal or semi-formal.
If your friends are going ask them what they think is appropriate, or what they're going to be wearing.
One big mistake is to wear the same colour/style as the bridal party, so check on that too.
The couple obviously think enough of you to ask you to this very special occasion, so go and enjoy yourself .

It is important to see which marriage you are attending and at what time and at which place. If you are attending the marriage during day time and that too in a village your dress code shall be according to the village tradition. If you are attending in a 5 star hotel then you can wear suit if you are a boy and if you are a girl that too un-married it is your choice to wear Ghagra choli or salwar suit or if desired by your friend you can wear a heavy Saree and so on. If you are a man the choice are very limited but the colour combination counts much. Hence decide now otherwise it will be too late to get the cloth on the eleventh hour.

You did not give the location- church, hall, beach.... I would dress up in a nice dress with matching shoes and bag. It also depends on what the weather will be like in your area. You can wear a suit, also. Go to the store and try on several outfits. Tell the salesperson the affect you want to have. You will know what feels right when you find it. Good luck.

Remember that what looks good on one person doesn't always look good on another so it is hard for me to tell you without seeing you first. If I was to go to one like that I would probably wear a nice fitted top and some nice tight jeans. It depends though what suits you and if it is held in a cold or warm climate. I hope you enjoy the wedding.

Have you looked at those layered lacy skirts that are out for spring? Very pretty with a camisole top and maybe an embellished cardigan. Dressy sandals or open heels (Candies?) - you will look great!

A cocktail dress would be a great idea, in a dark blue or green color and some good ole pumps.
