I have dual operation systems, 2000 & XP. Until 2 days ago I could access the internet on both, but primarily used XP. Now I can access the internet with XP, for some reason it is not connecting with my modem. I have DSL if that makes a difference. Do you know what could be wrong, and how I can fix it?

You should check your network settings for XP. Sometimes network cards get a brain fart and loses the IP information. Right click on the network icon in the taskbar. then select Status, then support tab. try the repair button to refresh your DHCP IP addressing.

Most providers equipment remembers what computer you are using as a part of the security system, and that could be a problem. I have two computers with different systems - XP and 98 - and I have had a lot of problems switching systems - you should talk to your provider
