My mailbox is white. LOL...it might sound dull to you, but let me explain why I think the owners of my four-plex rental were rather creative with a simple design they painted on the door of each box. There is a separate mail box for each of the four units and they are mounted on a wooden rail type support, which has a simple, but nicely designed climbing vine painted upon it. The door of each mailbox has a pale blue floral design and vines, matching those painted upon the stand. To identify which mailbox belongs to which tenant, the number of flowers depicted on these mail box doors correlates with the matching number of each of the four units. It's an unobtrusive design but it does the job quite nicely. I have never seen this idea used before, and I find it rather quaint.

Brass, with worn spots, but I can't change it because it's one of those mailboxes that someone put into the wall, where the mail falls on the inside of the house. It's cool. I always wanted one of these.

The one in front of my house that I don't get mail in, is black.
The one at the post office, where I DO get my mail, is gray.
