1) try not to worry about the things I can't control in my life
2) when a 'c' you do spy, place the 'e' before the 'i'
3) actions really do speak louder than words
4) when i ignore my gut instincts (intuition) i usually make the wrong choice
5) money does not equate with happiness; unless you are happy as a person, you will always think if you had more money it is the answer to your problems
6) you can never replace a lost relationship with another, whether it's a lover, a best friend or an animal companion, etc. but the beauty is that as you suffer these losses and enter new relationships you will often find totally different and, sometimes more satisfying, surprising opportunities for relational fulfillment
7) how to ride a bike
8) the scared feeling of panic in your stomach that tells you that you are in a life-threatening situation that you better get out of fast! (like have you ever accepted a ride or help from a stranger and then, in the middle of it, you realize there is something strange or fundamentally not right about this person and you need to make up a reason to back out of the situation?)
9) that forgiveness and understanding about your upbringing centers around realizing that all parents are amateurs; there is no school for learning how to be a good parent
10) that making other people happy makes me happy
11) that giving an unexpected gift to a friend for no particular reason (i saw this and i thought of you because i know you like xyz) adds a dimension to friendship because it shows you "get" something about who that person is and you responded to it, making the other person feel "validated"
12) that if you keep doing something that never gets you results you will continue to not get results. this would sound like a no brainer but most people repeat behaviors with other people, don't get what they want out of the relationship and then don't understand why...as if they are programmed to do the old behavior over and over again and then wonder why they don't get what they want. if you keep doing something and don't get the results you want, the logical thing is to try something different...like ASK for WHAT YOU WANT and dump the old behavior
13) we think we want to be understood but we are deathly afraid of being understood because we afraid if somebody REALLY knows us they won't like us. it takes courage to reveal yourself.
14) sometimes listening is better than giving advice. the trick is to know which is better and when
15) when a friend or lover dumps me, don't spend my time obsessing about why this person would do that to me. i'll never figure it out. instead, spend my time learning how to move on.
16) if you write and you enjoy it but you don't make it into publishing, or don't have the guts to try publishing, keep writing for yourself. it's a great outlet and source of self-knowledge. and it can be very helpful to share your work with people who love you.
I could keep going, but these were just off the top of my head.

(This question is vague, and I am not certain of the level of detail or philosophical gauge you are after).
-It is very unlikely that a person will forget how to have sexual intercourse once it is learned. This is arguably the most important trait that a species has -- its ability to reproduce.
-It is more unlikely that you will forget the difference between your senses, even if you are deaf, dumb, and blind. For instance, you will know the difference between feeling unbalanced and feeling very cold. It would be very difficult to forget those feelings. They are built into the brain.
Hope this helps...

I am not sure this counts, but I think I may have learned that online buddies are a no-no. They are not safe. They are not trust-worthy. I have had no personal good/bad experience with them, but just talking to someone you don't know is not wise. I think it is time to say goodbye to one of the three online buddies I have whom I've never met. As for the other two, well, we'll see. But anyways, online buddies = bad for your health and well-being, just like cigarettes and drugs.

in my 3rd year of gymnastics, i was learning a skill that i became fearful of. i made up excuses so that i wouldnt have to go, until my mom figured that something was up. we talked, and she gave me a piece of advice that i will never forget... 'dont let fear run your life.'
