With each child I prayed that they would come before the due date as I was so big with each by the 38th week. Neither has come early. First was 2 weeks late, ended up in 19 hours of active labor but he got stuck and had emergency C-section, he's now 2.5 years old. 2nd was due the 18th had her on the 25th by C-section, she'll be one year in just 21 days from now..each Mommy and baby are different buts the odds are the first one is always at least a few days late.

Both of my children were born a month early. I have a heart problem though and the doctors said the pregnancy and my heart were working against each other. The pregnancy was to much for my heart, and my heart was too weak for the pregnancy. I started premature labor at 6 months with both of them. They just held off as long as possible. Each woman is different. I know many people that deliver early and late the first time. Each pregnancy is also different. If you ahve 3 kids one might be early, late, and on time. You'll just have to wait and see!

Well really it is up to your body. Both of my children were after their due date. A few weeks with my first and 3 days for the second. Your due date is only approximate. I had a friend who both of hers were early. Just depends on you.

8 pounds is not big, it's completely average, who the heck said 8 pounds was a big baby at term? Because they are mistaken. Bigger babies RARELY have to be induced earlier anyway. Just depends on how long your doctor doesn't want to wait around for you to deliver naturally. Some make it seem like big babies need to be out urgently...but in reality, they don't. It's very rare a woman can not deliver a baby her body created.

First baby made an appearance at 34 weeks!
No known reason why, my waters broke and off we went. Each subsequent babt has been early, but none as early as the first.
Good luck!

Mine was one week late. I ended up having an induction due to high blood pressure. I was in labour for 8 hours, but had complications so i had a c section.
