I do think it's weird. My husband & I were talking about it and we were speculating about the abundance of street and parking lot lights. Maybe it throws off their biological clocks.
Or perhaps the divorce rate among birds is rapidly increasing, as evidenced by all the late-night arguments.

It's really weird. Last summer they were at it by 3 am. Last night one was chirping away at 1 am.
If the birds are that confused, then we're REALLY in trouble! LOL!

Yes, we had some that would chirp all night long and I always thought it was strange. It would drive me crazy.

some birds make noises at evening. Owls, catbirds, frogmouths and different nocturnal birds chirp to entice the different genders and a pair of different motives. or maybe its purely the cricket outdoors. They make noises such as birds.

Not where I live. We have noisy whippoorwills that "sing" for us all summer long, usually starting around sundown.

I ask myself, "What's got them all riled up? Is it a raccoon trying to steal their eggs, or is it a slasher?"
