The good news is most bands specializing in surf music are broke and you should be able to get the rights cheap (c'mon when Tequila is the best known song in the genre, the rest is a bargain)

yeah for sure!!!! check out instrumental guitarists like Joe Satriani and Steve Vai. i highly recommend Joe Satrianis surfing with the alien as a good starting place.
