I think Harry is a human being. As if being a member of the Royal family, where every second of your life is under scrutiny isn't hard enough. He lost his mother at a particularly difficult age and even though she died 10 years ago, she isn't allowed to rest in peace and the poor lad is subjected to horrendous intrusions, pictures and theories about the kind of person his mother mught have been. Personally I wouldn't blame him for being a little bit 'mad' sometimes because he is a human being and shouldn't have to hide behind a veneer of respectability. No, I don't think Harry is an embarrassment at all. I think he is a human being having to deal with alot of things that most 22 year olds don't even have to think about.

The trouble is that Harry is not a normal 22 year old, he is 3rd in line to the Throne and he cannot expect to behave like an ordinary lad, yobbish or not. The are plenty of ways that Harry can let his hair down that are not in the public eye.
In my opinion he is an arrogant, stupid guy who is sticking two fingers up to everyone - his father, his CO and the public. He doesn't seem to realise that not all people are drunken yobs and it is time he found different role models.
Not that I am holding my breath. I just hope that nothing happens to Charles or William.

Not all 22 year olds behave like that though, it diesn't have to be normal to do what Harry does.
He's 22 not 17, and he's an officer in the army. I don't think he's had a raw deal at all. The Royals don't have to go out on the town - they have their own society to move around in. The Army could manage him better.
I don't mind him behaving like a chav but if he does he needs to accept the criticism just as I would.

I'm sure he's no worse than any other 22 year old. Kids grow up and make mistakes. His problem is he received bad advice from whomever works as part of his staff, assuming that he has a staff.
They say a miss is as close as a mile. He'll always be in the shadow of his older brother and it may take a few years for him to become his own person.

Personally i think he is just a normal lad of 22.... How many bad pictures, like getting drunk, would there be of most of us if there were 50 photographers following us around every minute of the day?
As for being an embarrassment to the country.... well that stems from the people who are worried about the 5 billion pounds a year that the royal family bring in through tourism... i guess its just bad luck being born into royalty.
But in saying that.... with any job in the forces, even if you are royalty or not, you have to set examples.... and he is not.

Prince HArry is 22 and serves in H.M. military and yes he is a regular 22 year old. As far as our taxes, and i feel as though i have to repeat myself once again, The Estate prepays the 170,000,000 that we give them. The Crown estate had a revenue of 6 billion as of 2006. Shut up about taxes they are our sovereign and Her family. The Queen and the Duke only recieve payments from parliament. the only funds that do nothave to be reimbursed by Her Majesty

I agree he needs to have fun before heading off to Iraq. And you must have read some old polls because compared to his teen years, he starting to look like a good guy. Not that he was bad in the first place, he's always been good. I have heard recently about William going off and partying but unless or until he ***** up badly enough the public is not going to run him off and dismiss him as a bad guy (which he isn't). They both act in ways like normal 20 something guys. They have their whole lives ahead of them and it's going to be a long time before William is king and even longer if Harry makes it to the throne.

He is a 22 year old lad blowing off steam before he goes to war for his country, he has just completed one of the hardest officer training programs in the world, cut the lad a bit of slack, I think he is entitled to a few boozy nights!
Some of the verbal diahorrea posted on here has obviously been posted by people who have no idea of what the prospect of going to war is like, ROO!
Saintee, you were not in any army I knew!

He is the all too public face of his demographic - a regular 22 year old guy who, because of his position is not allowed to get away with the same antics as his peers.

Do people forget that the Royal family are at the end of the day just humans? they have the same feelings as us, they worry, they cry, they laugh, they feel jealousy , they feel anger, they feel joy. He's a young man reveling in his life and why shouldnt he? we all make mistakes when we are young, we all do and say regrettable things its how we grow as people. Asking anybody to be a robot in their life is unforgiveable its an unachieveable goal and who would wish anybody not to openly feel the wonderful array of human emotion. They were born into their birthright whether they are people who suite the role or not, if they hang up their coat as a Royal they will get abuse, if they carry on their role they will get abuse, they are in a no win situation. I believe the people who make mistakes in their life are often the most intelligent when it comes to people, it takes living an experience to truly understand it. I hope Harry and any other Royal lives their life as they want to live it, you only live once and its too short to try and live up to a man made inflicted status. I also think that anyone out there who forms an opinon on an entire country or thinks other people should based on one family - any family - seriously needs to check themselves, it wouldnt be considered right to base an opinion on thousands of people because of what they see 12 do in any other circumstance so why should that be tolerated in this case. The crazyness astounds me.
