leeza is the most obvious...but some people get nicknames that don't relate to their proper name at all...for instance, I have a friend named elizabeth, and her nickname is boo.

I think Mel, or Mellie as someone else suggested, are what people are most likely to call you, anyway, and they are sweet nicknames for you, too. How do you feel about it?
By the way, people give nicknames to people they like.
