The main organization is People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, the largest animal rights organization in the world. There is also another group that is the opposite of PETA beliefs called People Eating Tasty Animals. They are against PETAs antics and try to justify the killing of animals by saying selfishly "it tastes good". I am a proud member, supporter, volunteer for PETA.

I like People Euthanize Treatable Animals (which they do), and People Enabling Terrorist Acts (which they also do). How about Psycho Egotistical Tree-hugging [insert word I can't put] For the record, I understand not all PETA members are crazy, but usually those are the ones who don't really agree with everything PETA believes in. I think there is no problem with blind people having seeing eye dogs. PETA is against all animal use, well cared for pets and service dogs included. I am pretty happy not to have had polio or a bunch of other diseases that we can treat and prevent only because of animal testing. If PETA was willing to focus on realistic goals, like working for more humane meat-eating or animal testing, they may be able to do some good. But no, they have to be all or nothing and spend money making 12 year old girls cry and stop eating meat and petitioning for things that won't happen in one big step. I saw them bribing people (mostly young teenagers) for signing a petition with raffle tickets at a concert. That disgusted me. Sorry for the rant. I'm done now. ADDITION: Cassy, Allecto...awesome :)
