people are always saying cheating is wrong and stop and they wouldn't do it and all that. well what I want to know is, why does it happen so much. If everyone had as many morals in actual life as they do in talk then every one's relationship would be fine

Obviously, people who cheat don't see anything wrong with it and there are a lot more people who have no morals vs ones that do.

I don't think it is like smoking cigaretts. It is not an addiciton. SOme people have great character and integrity, some people do not. That is what makes difference between a person being able to cheat on their spouse without a second thought and a person who could not look at themselve in the mirror if they cheated. It is how you are raised as well. I can't stand that -"I could not help it" crap. We are not puppets. All I wish is that cheaters marry other cheaters so good people do not have to be burdend with it.

Didn't you know that most people lie? People are perfect on-line but lets face it, we all know better. If people were half as saintly as they pose themselves to be on-line then the divorce rate would be half of what it is.
Most people at some point in their lives will cheat on someone they love. They may or may not get caught. They may or may not feel guilty. But know this, cheating isn't anything new. It just gets more media than it once did.
People cheat for various reasons. Some of the top reasons are: selfishness, fear, anger, hate, confusion.

its simple, its a thrill something exciting. Couples go through problems and see this as a chance to put a band aide for their problems. Guys mostly cheat because it is an ego thing for them , they want to see if they can still attract another female. While women cheat because they are lacking some sort of emotional bond. Women are more likely to cheat and feel horrible about it when men cheat and are more likely to confess regardless on how the feel, they want to share their conquest.

People dont want to let there skeletons out of the closet, most want to seem perfect, and you are right alot of people dont actually live up to what they are saying.... Alot of people do it yeah, alot dont do it at all tho.. People just see the ones that do more in life because it is such a bad thing..I am one of those people that will say I have cheated on my ex husband.. I made a choice and I have to live with it forever, that is where I am.. I am not going to get on here or go out in real life and put others down for what they do wrong, I was always told dont throw stones at glass houses.. Most of us need to learn move on and accept we are not perfect, not special, we are just human and things happen, and once it has it is to late to change it... Good luck on this question...

WEll, cheating is wrong. There is no excuse for it at all. Whenever you find the answer to this question, you better write a book about it, 'cause no one knows why people want to cheat. Mostly people don't have a conscious, and they don't care who gets hurt, as long as they get thier rocks off.

Every marriage starts out saying the same thing I'll never cheat on you,right there they are setting them self up to fail.There are so many reasons why people have affairs but no matter what reason you think you have it comes down to o selfishness nothing else.

i think so many people cheat is because not that they get Bord with there meat its just that in the back of there head there always wondering what would had happen had they been with someone else or may the only way to get back at there spouse is to cheat or may be this may that's someone really wants to get out of that relationship with that person but just don't know how to bring it up because they have been together for a few year and so the only easy way to get out of one is to get in to another. and here's a question for who ever Now is it still called cheating if you bring someone into the bed room?

Define cheating? Is it sleeping with someone else(that's how I define it). Anyways,as I had said in another answer that I have never cheated on any of my g/f's and I think why people do it is because they think they can get away with it.If I see a pretty girl or so,I'm not gonna walk right up to her & say,"Yo,what's up,girl.You got a man?" I have a fiance.I may look-but I surely don't touch & yes,I have many female friends online-that's it-they are only friends & my fiance knows everything that I do because we are open with it & she trusts me.

A lot of people have insecurities and feel the only way to fill that void is to make themselves feel better by believing that they can get other people and still have their boyfriend/girlfriend to fall back on.
Also, people are afraid of commitment and instead of breaking up with their significant other, they keep them around and still see other people.
Some people are just plain stupid. All I have to say is...
