I just started a prescription of Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo five days ago, and I've been feeling nauseated the entire time.

Several years ago, I was on Yasmine for about three months and felt nauseated the entire time... so that's why my doctor prescribed me with the low hormone pills this time.

Is it normal for me to still be feeling this nauseous? Has anyone else had this happen to them?

Thanks for your help.

Very normal. It may take you a couple of months before you get passed the nausea issue. The key is to not take the meds on a empty stomach. Some patients even try to take meds at bedtime to sleep through the nausea. Just remember to take pills at the same time of day, everyday. Orthotricyclen-lo is a very low dose pill and if taken late can cause irregular bleeding and or pregnancy. Good Luck.

I used to take my pill in the a.m. and then finally had to switch to taking it at nite and that eventually solved my problem.

But in the mean time try taking some peanut butter (if not allergic to peanuts of course) to eat and then about 15 minutes later go ahead and take your pill. The peanut butter also helps with protein which helps to offset the nausea.

I found this tip out from an MA that used to work for my gynecologist.
