It means pulling down your pants and showing off your rear end to someone. Like yesterday i was watching this cartoon TV show, Hey Arnold. Harold, Stinky and Sid were about to show off their rear ends to the principal and Arnold wanted no part of this joke. Principal Wartz was quite shocked and questioned Arnold to tell him who were they. Arnold refused to answered and he got four weeks of detention. Week after week, Arnold still refused to answer and one day the principal told him that if he doesn't tell him then the punishment would be getting a black mark on his permanent record. As soon he was about to, Sid, Harold, Stinky felt to guilty that they finally confessed. And the principal said, "Well young man, i guess this means you're off the hook for now." So for me personally, Mooning isn't funny.
