Perception is simultaneously the only knowable, and the most unknowable, thing. You cannot know if anything other than your own point of reference truly exists, and that "other" includes the perception, or point of reference, of anyone other than yourself.
A possible vanishing point in this theory would be that even your own perception, or point of view, is an illusion or misperception, in which case all of existence must be questioned.

perception is how we as an individual see things. everyone's perception is unique and we can change our perception, actually the ability to change our perception is a very valuable tool since it allows to see things we could not otherwise see.
