I would be too embarrassed to stay if the only reason I was winning is because Howard Stern wants to ruin American Idol. I would leave the show to be fair to the others.

That will teach those producers to put someone through that really shouldn't be there. The trouble with this whole thing is if real voters aren't voting for Sanjaya then it leaves the lines open for Howard Stern's voters. Too bad Howard Stern is such a nasty person...must be he doesn't have anything better to do.

OMG.....Leave Sanjaya, LEAVE!!!! I dont know about everyone else but if i know someones mad at me or dosnt like me, i hate it. I'll even go so far as asking them why they dont like me. He has to know ppl dont like. all the media is being nice about it by making jokes...if it was me i would be like how do u feel know that a better singer then you was voted off, and how you dont even deserve to be in the top 10!

He's getting cocky so he's probably oblivious to the fact that the joke is on him. Probably thinks with or without Howard Stern he'd still be in. Oh well... he's wrong. Never underestimate the power of the King of All Media. BABA BOOEY!!! BABA BOOEY!!! VOTE FOR SANJAYA!!

By the way, to the person who said good singers are being voted off instead of Sanjaya: Those are people who weren't going to make it into the finals anyway or they'd still be in.

This season SUCKS talent wise. Especially compared to last season. There's no one who's really that good. So how great would it be if Sanjaya won??

By staying Sanjaya Malakar is creating an image for himself for the future. Just think about it - he's not embarrassed to go out with crazy hair styles, etc., and he certainly knows that he's way out of his league, but by staying on, people are talking about him constantly and it's also good for "American Idol" because people are talking about the show all week long and everyone seems to tune in (getting higher rating) just to see what will happen with Sanjaya.

Have a lovely rest of the evening.

Hi, The only way Sanjaya is going to leave is if Howard Stern stops his campaign to keep him on the show. We should be boycotting his show and writing to tell him we are boycotting. Write or phone his advertisers and tell them you will boycott their products if Howard continues to sabotage American Idol. Remember, numbers speak.

He definitely needs to quit while his 15+ minutes are ticking. He know deep in his heart that he is not of the same caliber as the other top 12. Like they always say... money talks so....

Everybody pitch in a penny and once we get a couple of million pennies we can give it to Sanjaya as a "Peace" of our mind offering... That should take about a couple of minutes..

He could at least donate half to charity.. Wha ja think...??
Instead of calling in your votes... donate a penny to the cause...

DebiDel,

I think that American Idol is being a great experience to Sanjaya.
He is just a teenager and he is learning a lot and also getting lots of publicity.
I feel that he seems to be just playing like a child because, since he is so young, he doesn´t know emotions that are needed to perform in front of such a large public and situation.

No, he should not quit. AI keeps on voting for him and he does not have to sound good to stay on the show. He should take advantage. Guess what? Since he made it to the top 10, he will have a paid job waiting for him. With all of this exposure, he will get alot of paid jobs.

Did you hear him last night before he sang he said "my goal tonight is to show America I really can sing" He knows he sucks I think he thinks it's funny. Go to the website for your local Fox station and COMPLAIN!!! It is the only way they will know how the real voters feel.

I agree, it's just getting so stupid and good singers are being voted off. If I was in the show, I would refuse to sing and hope the others would follow along so that idiot was kicked off the show. The kid must like being laughed at.

No because sometimes people have alot to gain because of negative publicity. Look at Anna Nicole Smith. I don't know why, but people love to hate.
