Some people see a "face" created by the pattern of craters on the moon's surface; Hence the Man in the Moon!
The links below. I think the "face" is easier to see in smaller picks than the larger ones, less detail.

The human mind is hardwired for facial recognition, and the darker mares (mare is Latin for "sea", as in maritime, or marine) and lighter highlands, on the face of the moon which is always presented to the Earth, appears to contain a human face. In the same way, people claim to see the virgin Mary in a piece of toasted cheese, or the face of a man on Mars.

When the moon is full, look at it for a few minutes.
It appears to have a face to it...
that face, is the man in the moon.
