80% of humanity, the religious folks, don't need to ask the meaning of life, the church tells them....the supernatural explanation. But the rest of us can't swallow religious dogma, because there's no evidence. Nobody can prove that there life after death, that people are tortured or rewarded after life or that there's invisible spirits running around.

I've come to two conclusions recently:

1. Life has no meaning
2. Life has a million meanings.

First, there's a certainty that death and annihilation awaits not only you, but the Earth in general. It's an astonomical certainty that our sun will supernova and leave the earth a burnt crisp, not to mention all the other extinction level events around the corner.

Second, the million things that give us meaning are the pleasurable experiences we can conjure up during the short period we are here on the earth, in the form of the relationships we have with our kids and other people, and the 'housekeeping' types of purposes. What i mean by that are the curing disease, ending hunger, improving literacy, reducing crime, preventing war, helping other kinds of things.

So the bottom line is, we only have a temporary meaning to life, to reduce pain and increase pleasure, other than that everything is lost to oblivion.

To be or not to be? "To be" is temporary and "not to be" is inevitable.....

What you have asked the world is a little tough to answer.
Here is my definition of life. Life is something to enjoy, where you may have ups and downs. Life shows how death can overcome you and others. Life is full of adventures. Ever heard life isn't fair? Well it isn't, who said it should be? Life is how you live it, thats your life.
I hope this helped a little, but like I said, this was very hard to answer.

The purpose of Children of God is to get into to Heaven and all that implies, which is very broad and applies to everyone in a little bit different way. However, the second and more important part to this question is to bring as many other people to Heaven as we can. This way, we can glorify and broaden the Kingdom of God - whom the entire universe is made and based.

the meaning falls into two categorys:

1. Find your true purpose of life: GOD; he made us to have a life here on earth to do His will..Live a wonderful, fun, loving life the right way.

2. Find your False/oppisite of your true purpose in life: Satan; He want's you to do His will which 100% falls into the category of rebellion. rebellion is the main source of all sin. even though all sin is equal. Here you will live a fun life, loving life but in the wrong way. k. amen? amen.

Well I get up each day and work hard and do the best I can.
Not sure but maybe in our afterlife we will discover why we were here. Maybe there is a plan that God has for us all but I haven't found mine yet.
