Disney feels that once a child reaches three years old, there is enough rides and things for them to enjoy that the admission price is worth it. So, once they reach three they begin charging for admission.

So, techincally you are not supposed to bring your children in for free if they are over 2. Now, that is not to say that a lot of people don't do it. Anyone on a tight budget or that are looking to save money may try to do this. If you buy your tickets in advance, you probably won't have a problem. However, there is a chance that Disney may catch on if you buy your tickets at the gate. Disney may also ask your kids directly what their age is, they do this to try and avoid people getting older kids in for free. Some people also claim their children are under 10 to avoid paying adult rates for the tickets, etc.

If you will be staying onsite at Disney and doing the dining plan, I definitely would not want to do it. Any time you go to dinner the waiters are going to see your children and it may make you feel a little uncomfortable.

Again, a lot of people do this, you are definitely not the only one thinking about or doing it. But, it is not the most honest thing to do and it may not be setting the best example for your kids. I suppose if you really need to save money then you could do it. But, if you want to be more honest, set a good example for your children and feel more comfortable, then I think I would just pay for the tickets.

Hope this helps!

Doubt it. We just got back a month ago with my almost 2 year old. We were never questioned (under 2 years is free), but she is small for her age. And from my observations there is quite a difference between a 2 year old and a 3 year old. I would suggest that if you are trying to save money, Disney World is not the place to take a vacation.

Yes, you can get a 3 year old into disney without paying. What a way to bring up a family. Lying (about the age) and stealing (not giving Disney their deserved money) are great family values that all young ones should learn. What is right, is right. What is wrong is just play wrong. Stand up and teach values and ethics. Be a responsible parent and stop trying to get away with things. Morals is a great gift that all parents should teach their children.

I think you pay for a three year old. There is no real way to prove the age - not like there is ID or not. As for morals - if it is going to be the difference of $60, my child is to young to remember it in the future, than yea, sure. No that is not cheating the system. When you get in there, you still have to feed them a $10 hamburger with a $5 coke.

My sister and her family did this a few years ago. My niece had just turned 3, but they wanted to save money so they acted as if she was 2. My niece is small for her age, therefore they never questioned them. If your child is small enough where noone can tell the age, then I say why not try it....the worst you will have to do is actually pay for your child.

I did it with my twins - they were 4 years 5 months old. I just picked them up when we were buying the tickets, no questions asked. But Sea World questioned us and we had to pay. over the holiday we saved a fortune - I guess i was wrong, but we were on a tight budget.

No, I don't believe so. I believe that they let babies in, like less than one year old, MAYBE less than two years old, but no way would they let in kids three old for free.
