I would not recommend that you skip out on your court date without making prior arrangements with the court. Vacation is not a valid excuse to just not show up.

The court will issue a warrant for your arrest. You may have to go to jail and you may have to pay a fine. Then, not only are you possibly in trouble for trespassing, you are certainly in trouble for not following the court's order for you to appear. That is called contempt.

Unless there is probable cause, there will not be a warrant issued to search your house.

I doubt they'd get a search warrant. An arrest warrant will work just fine. Actually you'll probably have 2 warrants, one for the criminal tresspass, and the second for failing to appear. You'll probably ratchet up the price of this thing about 4-6 times what it would otherwise be if you'd show up, and of course you're liable to get thrown in jail at any time. There's always a chance that you'll have a rather extended vacation if they come out and cuff you at work. Some employers are just a bit narrow minded about that sort of thing. But, it is your vacation so I'd just zip right off and not worry about anything.

Well, eventually you will get arrested b/c you will either get pulled over for something, get arrested, or eventually you will have to show up for a court date. Also, if you get arrested on a Friday, sometimes you have to spend the weekend in court. Then you also have to have bond set and pay for it before you can get out of jail as well.

The easiest & best way to handle this would be to take the money you would have to use to bond out of jail and hire an attorney before your court date/vacation and have them file paperwork for you so you would not have to appear in court at your arraignment or court date (very commonly done), or they appear in court for you, and you won't have a warrant issued at all and can really enjoy your vacation! That's what I would do anyway!

Edit: how long you'll be in jail if you get arrested if you let a warrant be issued will depend on your county and the judge you appear in front of, if you have any violation of probations which would keep you in until your sentencing (at least in our county). The judge could decide since you haven't shown up and you already have one Failure to Appear that you are not a good risk and give you a high bond or none at all. If you are given a bond, then it depends on when you are arrested as to when you will be released. If it is Monday through Thursday it would be about one day (arraignments in our county are every morning) depending on the jail processing time, your bail bondsman, and arraignment, but worst case scenario as I mentioned is if you get arrested on a Friday evening in our county defendants wind up spending the weekend.

As I mentioned, I would try to spend the same amount of money and use it hire a lawyer to file paperwork for you before you get a warrant issued to prevent all these problems. Same amount of money without all the hassle and jail time. Good luck!

You will have a bench warrant issued for your arrest. This means if you get caught for anything else, you get to spend the night in jail. See if you can get your court date changed and if you can't, guess your vacation will be a little shorter than planned.

What are you worried about them finding?! What you did serves no purpose to get a search warrant. Get a continuance instead and in the mean time, get rid of whatever illegal substances you have in your home...just because.

You'll lose and get fined whatever you were supose to pay. You count as a no-show. If you go and the cop doesn't show i think you win. But you lose if you dont' show.
