Don Corleone for sure! I like Tony, but no one can beat the Godfather!! :) And I just happend to be a full-blooded Italian, so my opinon counts all the way.

I love the Sopranos and I love the Godfather movies. But the most realistic portrayal is the Godfather and he is the better mob boss.
In the Sopranos Tony goes out alone alot...except for in season 6...but in reality that would not happen...the Godfather is protected 24 7! Also there is alot of things going on that
Tony is not aware of till later. That would never work.
No matter if it was a realitive or who it would not be tolerated...example Christopher....A junkie...never would that be allowed...to much at risk for a captain to be out of control!
The Godfather ran the show all the way..did not take chaos from anyone even his own sons...a true leader of the mob.
Did you know that the real Godfather of the mob is still living I believe in his 90's name is Joseph Bonano I read the book his son wrote his sons name is Bill Bonanao! What a book and right now I cannot believe I am blank on the title...but you can find it. And one of the best mob books is called The Last
Mafioso...it is also a true story about the largest hitman in mob history...he wrote the book...it has been out many yrs. you can get these books in true crime section in book stores, if you like to read you will not be able to put these books down. P.S. as of date there is still a lot of money offered from the mafia for that man...he was not killed by the mob...he was even on tv yrs. back with a hood on his face telling all...oh that was a show! The Last Mafioso and the book about Joseph Bonano cover Kennedy...Castro etc....Very interesting and I hate to say very believable!

just about each and every fashionable mobster from the 1950's has a movie out about them. fortunate luciano, bugsy (ben segiel) lanskiy, dutch schulty, valachi, gambino, bannano, and the record merely keeps occurring...out of the above, i beloved bugsy valachi, mier lansky
