Simple algebra, answer: (-4) and (-15)

System of two equations, using substitution:

x + y = -19
xy = 60

x = -19 - y
y(-19 - y) = 60 (substitute x into the second equation)

-y^2 - 19y - 60 = 0 (now apply quadratic equation)

x = (-b + root (b^2 - 4ac)) / 2a
x = (19 + root (361 - 240)) / -2
x = (19 + 11)) / -2
x = (-15)
so y = (-4)
